I had the best time there with my momma!! I really love the new to me location, much easier to find seating. Our service was excellent, their food was delicious I kinda wished I hadn't split the cheeseburger I had told myself I needed to save room for dessert and I'm definitely glad I did!! His homemade cheesecake was well worth every single bite
I'll make certain that I return and spread the word to try this most excellent Cafe!! -

This restaurant has recently relocated from the mall to its own separate space next to the mall behind the Choctaw Station post office on the J C Penney side of the mall. Parking is available across the street from the restaurant in the mall parking lot. Cosmic is now a table service restaurant offering a more varied menu than when it was a counter service restaurant in the mall.
While in town visiting for a Christmas, I had lunch there last week. I chose their All American burger that comes with fries for $9 and adding ice tea for another $2. The meal came out in about 10 minutes. The burger had a 1/3 lb. patty with cheese and dressed served on a ciabatta bun cut in half. The fries were the frozen out of a bag type with a crusty exterior. I will say the burger was very good in taste. While not large it was well made with the bun, cheese, meat and veggies all good (4). The fries were barely a 3 in my opinion. I don't like the crusty exterior and didn't finish mine. My table service was good and attentive.
I gave this meal a 3.5 but will round down for Yelp purposes. The reason why is my bill with tax and tip was slightly over $14 which is high for Laurel and considering it was just a burger, fries and drink. There are several places in town that I could have received a full meal for less. I am not sure how Cosmic will differentiate itself as a table service restaurant in Laurel from the competition. I wish them well but might not see the need to return. -

Service was nice and friendly. Tea was great! Bread on the PO boy was nice. The chicken philly was just ok. The onions were Very dark in color like it was sitting on the grill a long time, didn't taste burnt, but black like it was. The French fries came out dark, cold and crispy and dry like potato chips--didn't eat them after trying the first one. Disappointing place.

Absolutely love this new addition to downtown Laurel. While on the outskirts you CAN walk there or hop in the car for a quick ride across Leontyne Blvd. I LOVE the Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap and my husband has been working through the menu with the top favorites being: The Knight Butcher Ribeye, The crawfish pies, Shrimp & Grits, and the Crab Cakes. The best part is they are now open on Sundays! Go give them a try!

Stopped in Laurel for the night on our way to New Orleans. Went down town to eat, but most of everything was closed so we ended up here and we were not disappointed! The shrimp and grits were some of the best I have ever had. I also got the reddish tacos; which were equally as good. Went with a local German style beer which took me by surprise (sweeter than expected), but was really good.
